Easter Monday - A Wonderful Day

Published by bluegreen at 2:11 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Easter Monday  It was a really wonderful day, sunny, delight and warm. After watching Mr Beans Holiday, I had a drink in the waterfront café/bar at the Melbourne Deck. Sitting along the bench, I can overlook the Yarra River, the tree, the Bridge, South Bank, people and dogs. When the sun slowly goes down, it spread its glamorous golden beam through the peaceful air over every single subject. Every now and then, when we are lucky to have such beautiful days, I just can’t wait to get out and hope I could remember every single thing passing cross my eyes, and coming through my heart. Gosh, I love this city.  Next to me, it was British father with his son and daughter. I can tell that instinctively from his accent. Don’t know why I am sort of obsess with British accent which always reminds me Hugh Jackman in “Kate and Leopold” and Mr Darcy in “Bridget Jones’s Diary”. He told me that he lives in London and his ex-wife with two kids moved to Australia. He is worried about his kids because his ex-wife had another two kids with the current partner. Somehow, the way he talked to his kids reminds me my dad. The son is very handsome, smart and decent 10 years old. The daughter is a shy, quiet and pretty 6 years old to be. He generously offered a promise of buying anything they want for their birthdays, but the son shook his head and said he doesn’t want the new play station. Poor dady, I guess what he tries to do right now is to offer as much material supply as possible to cover up the fact of missing father in his kids’ daily life. After waving them good-bye, I just hope these two gorgeous kids will still have a normal happy childhood as other kids.
